The RCS School Board Trustee is an unpaid, elected position which requires true dedication to the highest ideals of what public education ought to be for the local public it serves.
These elected members work to establish educational standards for our state, which then transfer down to counties, which then transfer down to local districts.
Our state legislators vote on budget allotments for public schools, comprise the numerous committees writing or amending legislation that affect public education, and are representative of those who elected them.
